Shouldn't I have known that by now? 

Even at my age, I am learning new things everyday, but sometimes I am surprised that I did not learn some of these things earlier. How did I make it to this stage of my life without knowing this stuff? Shouldn't I have known that by now? This site is my way of sharing some practical tips, tasty recipes, vacation ideas, life accounts and random knowledge. Some stuff you will already know, some stuff you may never need to know, but hopefully you will find a few useful tidbits. When I sent Ozzie’s saliva off to be DNA tested, I had suspicions as to his breed makeup. His look was unique, he had strong personality traits, and he had been rescued from an island in the Caribbean. I was fortunate to be in contact with the families who had adopted two of Ozzie’s brothers, so I had information about them as well. I was being a bit mischievous when I asked you to guess Ozzie’s breeding since I already had an idea that he would have an unusual ‘breed’ in his DNA.

Ozzie (Not Toby)Ozzie (Not Toby)I admit that I was skeptical about DNA breed testing for dogs the first time that I paid money to have it done. I adopted a dog in 2009 from Calgary, Alberta, but he was originally rescued in Georgia, USA. Toby was 30 lbs. full grown, brindle and white, wire-haired, brachycephalic (short-nosed) with an underbite, and barrel-chested. He was stubborn, dog reactive, and had a high prey drive. The rescue called him a Boxer/Border Terrier cross. I was not convinced.

If you are thinking about getting fish as pets, it is vital to do your research on how to properly set up and maintain your aquarium. Whether you want a 5-gallon tank for a betta fish, or a 125-gallon aquarium for a pair of oscars, the set up and maintenance will be very similar. Reverse Hanger Hack

I like the simple things in life. Or it might be more accurate to say that I like life to be simple. For example, I love to eat, but I do not like to manage my diet. Of course, I really enjoy a tasty meal, nonetheless, I have always wondered if people would be better off eating a measured amount of a completely balanced kibble; like dog food, but better tasting!
